In case you missed it, Texas A&M added four new required supplemental essay prompts to their application this year. That’s on top of the existing personal statement and the existing required supplemental essay — and it means students applying for Fall 2027 admission have more to write than any class before them. But don’t panic. My new Cracking the Texas A&M Supplemental Essays is a self-paced written guide with embedded video coaching that walks students through every supplemental prompt — what A&M is actually looking for, common mistakes students make when responding, sample essays, and a brainstorming process to find the right story fast. (It will also be updated to reflect any new scholarship essay prompts when they’re released — purchasers get the update free.) I actually just got back from A&M yesterday, where I spent two days working with A&M applicants on their essays using this workbook. Their feedback? "At the beginning, I was pretty worried about not quite hitting the marks that A&M wanted.
